Women in Property, Northern Scotland, is rounding off a successful 2007 with three more networking events – check out our events page for more details.
Due to the vast network of contacts available to Women in Property we are able to secure this mix of formal and informal events. These not only provide excellent networking opportunities, but the chance for members and guests to learn something new – so we hope you’ll be able to join us.
So far in 2007 we have hosted a real variety of events; from our formal dinner in March (who can forget their night with Colin & Justin), to site visits (that first look at the fantastic Marine Operations Centre) and a champagne and shopping evening (sampling the delights of Kello).
The Northern Scotland branch is this year being partnered by Stewart Milne Homes, whose support has enabled many of the events and initiatives to progress.
One of the key initiatives during 2007 was the first Women in Property awards, which was open to students studying the built environment at RGU. Our Northern Scotland regional winner, Annie Whitehouse will be attending the November networking lunch to share her experience on how the win will benefit her career.
Although Annie wasn’t a winner at the Best of Best awards in London, she has scooped a placement at SMC Jenkins & Marr and enjoyed a fantastic trip to Houston (thanks to our friends at CREW) – so has plenty of positives to mention.
We are always keen to encourage new members and wider networking opportunities. Our November networking lunch is also open to guests, so will be a great occasion to introduce someone new to Women in Property.

Rhona MacLean Chairman
Rhona is an Associate with the Firm of Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace, having joined them last year from another Aberdeen Firm. She is part of an expanding Private Client Department and deals with all varieties of residential conveyancing, including property sales and purchases. Rhona moved to the North East in 1987 after graduating from Glasgow University and has worked in the property field since then. After studying Management Accountancy at Derby University, Natalie joined a multi-disciplined firm of chartered surveyors and estate agents with a network of offices covering the south of England before relocating to Aberdeenshire in 2005. Yunming graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a Masters in Architecture. She worked for the Holmes Partnership in Edinburgh for 7 years on a vareity of educational projects and later hotel design for a major international client. Marichen Mayer graduated with an Honours Degree in Music at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and an Honours Degree in Law at the University of Aberdeen.
