Title:

WOMEN IN PROPERTY TRIUMPHS AT LITTLE BRITAIN
Little Britain Challenge Cup 2007

Location:

Cowes Isle of Wight

FLYING FORMULA, crewed by 8 Women in Property Members led by
Team Captain Alison Smith of CODA Architects, took line honours on all
three days of the Little Britain Challenge, finishing third overall in IRC
Class 8. In doing so they beat all comers in both the Alliance Teams
challenge and in the 50% Female Crew, becoming one of only two teams at
the event to collect three trophies in the prize-giving ceremony on Saturday
Night. The team finished 16th overall out of the 251 boats taking part in
the Little Britain Challenge Cup and 7th overall of 74 boats in the Tarkett
Sommer Trophy for cruising yachts.

The team's success in its 4th Little Britain is a dramatic improvement on
the three previous attempts and is due to exceptional teamwork on the part of
the crew: -

Alison Smith (Capt) CODA Architects Mainsheet Trimmer
Carol Bell (Vice Capt) RLF Pit/Navigator/Tactician
Caroline Buckingham HLM Architects Foredeck
Karen Moseley HLM Architects Foresail Trimmer
Judith Bird Kimbells Solicitors Foresail Trimmer
Lesley Logan Morgan Ashurst Mast/Foredeck
Liz Home GVA Grimley Helm
Rachel Reid Aedas Foresail Trimmer

with the support of our professional skipper, Dave Wheeler.
