Jason Longhurst, executive director of Black Country Consortium, gave over 40 members and their guests an overview of how a new urban park is to be developed in the Black Country as part of a wider 'green' regeneration initiative. Jason's talk covered issues relating to community, investment, skills and development, in addition to far-reaching issues around climate change, the implementation of 'GI' - Green Infrastructure - and carbon offsetting at a local level.
